Lina and Gabi Tamman Cardiovascular Research Institute Inaugurated

Sheba

The extended Tamman family at the August ceremony, with Lina and Gabi Tamman to the right of Prof. Zeev Rotstein (in center, with certificate).

Solomon and Rosalind Tamman, and David and Marise Tamman, and Joseph and Carol Tamman and their extended families inaugurated in August the new institute for cardiovascular research at Sheba, named in honor of their parents, Lina and Gabi Tamman (of Geneva, Switzerland). Five generations of Tammans were present at the dedication ceremony, on the spacious top floor of the new Leviev Heart Center. Prof. Jonathan Leor, a world leader in regenerative medicine, specifically the repair of damaged heart muscle with stem cells and scaffolds, directs the center. It is staffed by 20 physicians, scientists, investigators, students and assistants.
